Enter a volume and choose the units — liters, milliliters, gallons, cups, fluid ounces, spoons or cubic units. The result updates as you type, and the table below lists every unit at once.
All units are defined in liters. US customary units derive from the US gallon of exactly 231 cubic inches (3.785411784 L); the UK (imperial) gallon is a different, larger unit of exactly 4.54609 L. Cups, pints, quarts, fluid ounces and spoons are US units.

Where:
2 ÷ 0.0295735295625 = 67.63 US fl oz
15 × 3.785411784 = 56.78 L
1,000 L ÷ 3.785411784 = 264.17 US gal
No. A UK gallon (4.546 L) is about 1.2 US gallons (3.785 L). Choose the right one — fuel economy and recipes from the UK use the larger gallon.
Not quite. A metric cup, common in Australian and other recipes, is 250 mL; a US cup is 236.59 mL. For most recipes the 6% difference doesn't matter, but for baking it can.
Yes. 1 mL = 1 cm³, and 1 L = 1,000 cm³ = 1 dm³. A cubic meter holds 1,000 liters.
