The short version

  • Our tools run in your browser. What you type or paste into a tool is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers.
  • Analytics are optional. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load only if you accept them.
  • No accounts, no selling of data. You don't need to sign up, and we don't sell personal data.

Data you enter into tools

Tools marked “Runs in your browser” do all of their work on your device. Numbers, text, JSON and other input stay in your browser and disappear when you close or reset the page. If a future tool needs to process data on a server, its page will say so clearly before you use it.

Analytics

With your consent, we use:

  • Google Analytics (Google) — page views, approximate location, device and browser, and how visitors move between pages.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling. Tool inputs and results are masked so they are never included in recordings.

We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or collect personal data, to count page views in aggregate. It runs without a consent prompt.

Analytics help us decide which tools to improve and which to build next. We do not use them to identify you.

Your choices

You can accept or reject analytics when you first visit, and change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, analytics cookies are deleted and the analytics scripts stop loading. We ask again after 12 months.

Hosting and security

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs (such as IP address, browser and time of request) to keep the service secure and working. These logs are not used for analytics or advertising.

Changes

If we change how ToolsServer handles data — for example by adding a new analytics or advertising provider — we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent again.
