How the Brick Calculator works
Enter the wall area and choose a brick size. Each brick plus its mortar joints covers a set face area — a UK brick (215 × 65 mm with 10 mm joints) covers 225 × 75 mm — so the calculator divides the wall area by that, takes away doors and windows, and adds a waste allowance. The result is for a single-skin wall.
