Subtract the years, months and days separately. If the days come out negative, borrow the length of the previous month; if the months come out negative, borrow 12 months from the years.

Frequently asked questions
How is age calculated when someone was born on 29 February?
In years that aren't leap years, this calculator treats 1 March as the birthday, so someone born on 29 February 2000 turned 1 on 1 March 2001. Some countries use 28 February for legal purposes — check local rules if it matters officially.
Why don't total months equal days divided by 30?
Months have 28 to 31 days, so the calculator counts real calendar months instead of dividing by an average. Total days and weeks are exact counts.
Does the time of birth or time zone matter?
No. The calculator works with calendar dates only, so the result is the same wherever you are. Today's date comes from your device.
