Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The content is stored in the code itself, so it works as long as the link or text is valid. Nothing is tracked or redirected.
What size should a printed QR code be?
At least 2 × 2 cm for close scanning, larger for posters (roughly the scanning distance divided by 10). Keep the white border around it — scanners need that quiet zone.
Can I use colors?
Yes, as long as the code is clearly darker than the background. Light codes on dark backgrounds don't scan on many phones, so the tool warns you about low contrast or inverted colors.
How much text fits?
Up to about 2,900 bytes at the lowest error correction. Shorter content makes a simpler code that scans more easily, so short links work best.
