How the Text Sorter works
Paste one item per line and choose an order. Alphabetical sorting uses your browser's language rules, so accented letters sort next to their plain letter (é with e) instead of after z, and — with Numbers by value — “Item 2” comes before “Item 10”.
The sort is stable: lines that compare as equal keep their original order. Length sorting counts characters as you see them, so an emoji counts as one.

Frequently asked questions
Why isn't my list in strict ASCII order?
ASCII order puts all capitals before all lowercase letters and accented letters after z, which isn't how people alphabetize. This tool uses language-aware ordering instead.
Can I shuffle the lines randomly?
Not here — this tool only sorts. Reverse current order flips the list as it is.
Can I sort a comma-separated list?
Put each item on its own line first (replace commas with line breaks), sort, then join them again if you need to.
