How the Markdown to HTML Converter works

Type or paste Markdown and the HTML updates as you type; switch to Preview to see it rendered. The converter follows GitHub-flavored Markdown, so tables, task lists, strikethrough and fenced code blocks work as they do on GitHub.

For safety, HTML tags written inside the Markdown are shown as text unless you tick Keep raw HTML, and links with unsafe addresses such as javascript: are removed. The preview runs in an isolated frame that can't run scripts.

Why are my HTML tags showing as text?

Raw HTML is escaped by default so pasted content can't inject anything unexpected. Tick Keep raw HTML if you trust the source.

No — it's clean semantic HTML, ready to paste into a page that has its own styles.
